Nancy Harkins - President:

“The definition of Evolution is awakening to the power and presence of Spirit within.”
Ernest Holmes

In June 1987 I entered a SOM church for the first time. I cried throughout each service I attended as I realized “I am home, this is the TRUTH I had always instinctively known”. In March 1989 I found my people right here in New Vision Center. This center has been and continues to be a blessing to so many people over these 34 plus years. NVC is a leader in the Centers for Spiritual Living community at large. Specifically this is due to our unique organizational configuration. A structure that has supported and guided us through many changes and challenges because of our commitment to living a vision statement that has sustained us. Throughout these years I have served in numerous capacities. Having taken many classes and previously serving as a Practitioner I have observed evolution and growth in our teaching, as well as our community. As I continue to take classes, read, and study I continue to evolve, and it is reflected in professional growth as well. I am honored to serve as President of our beloved community for the coming year. My commitment is to appeal to the leader in each of our precious partners, members, and new guests of all ages. Together we do great things as we continue to evolve both personally and as a community, we Reveal the Power of Love.

As Vice President, I currently serve as Leadership Council liaison to the Finance Committee, North Lot Sale Committee and the Rental Committee. I participate in the twice monthly Men's Group along with the Vision group. I have enjoyed participating in many projects and classes and have come to regard NVC as Family

Jeff Miller - Treasurer:

Realizing Our Good

I was swept into NVC's uplifting whirlwind of Spirit, love, learning, and new ideas eight years ago. It's been an exciting ride, filled with self-discovery, joy, gratitude, and community. It's not over. I know the best is yet to come for my NVC family and me. I am proud to be Hoosier, grateful for 59 loving years with my wife Sue, delighted with my three children and seven grandchildren, sustained by my friends, thankful for a stimulating career as a teacher and business consultant, and pleased to serve.

Supporting all as a beneficial presence.

I was introduced to Religious Science in 2001 by my beloved Rev. Karen Russo. I found New Vision Center and was licensed as a practitioner in 2005. I am now retired from a work life in management and technical roles at commercial nuclear power electric generating facilities. I have served at NVC in many roles, including a previous blessed time on the Leadership Council. Life Is Good!

Love and Connection

Bonnie Saba – Stewardship:

Love & Connection

I have been with New Vision for 15 years, but started with Science of Mind in California in the late 80's. I have served on Leadership in various capacities for about 6 years. After 3 years, I am back with a focus on Stewardship. I love the connection with others I get when putting myself in service at NVC.

Tom Rose - Online Community:

I came to Science of Mind in 1993 at the Santa Rosa Center. Arrived at New Vision Center in 2012 by way of the Lake Havasu Center. I served on the Board of the Lake Havasu Center and the Leadership Council of New Vision Center for a previous term before this one. My background is in Accounting and Finance with lots of coursework in Psychology. I have served on several non-profit boards other than Centers for Spiritual Living. Science of Mind has been my spiritual home since the first service I attended. I love the way decisions are made by consensus at NVC. The process ensures that everyone is on board before something is undertaken. Egos are parked at the door (or just abandoned). My focus this year is on growing the online community and working to provide programs, and ministries that tie our online partners together. I welcome comment and suggestions on expansions and improvements to our online presence. Contact me at tcrose0909@gmail.com or text me at 480-220-6584.

Don Powell - Safety and Security:

I am living from Gratitude!

I was introduced to the New Thought movement at Unity of Houston in 2004. I served on the Board of Trustees there for three years. In 2013 I became a member of CSL Palm Desert where I also served on the Board of Trustees. I moved to Scottsdale in 2019 and found my spiritual home here at New Vision CSL. This is an amazing community where we are all welcome. I have served on the Finance Team and I have been thrilled to watch our financial progress. We are just getting started and the best is still in our future. I am very privileged to serve on the Leadership Council where I lead a very strong Safety and Security Team. My education is a Masters Degree in Finance and I am a Chartered Financial Analyst. My career was in the field of investment management.

Embracing Life and the Infinite possibilities of Expansion

I found Science of Mind in 2018 and have been a partner at New Vision Center since January, 2021. I value connection with all expressions of life and love. I am grateful for everyone I have had the opportunity to connect with at NVC and look forward to deepening into this community. My professional background includes twenty five plus years in healthcare and the last fifteen years working as a CRNA providing anesthesia for all patient populations. I love all people and have a commitment to serve and advocate for all things that bring us together as a community.
