Service Ministries Update

Have you noticed the IN SERVICE TODAY Slide during Sunday Morning Service? It takes the hands and the hearts and the devotion of more than 30 individuals for all of us to have a magnificent Sunday Celebration. It is my great joy to work with all the Team Leaders and to support and expand our Service Ministries here at New Vision.
With growth and expansion comes change, and not all of it is always working for everyone involved. During the last couple of weeks, we had Gordon Wren, who served for many years as the Greeter Team Leader, step away. We will surely miss Gordon’s creative expression and smile on Sunday mornings at the door and trust that Gordon finds his next joyous expression of service soon. The Pastoral Care Team lost its team leader as Donna Riccinto made her transition last week. We will be working closely with these teams to identify and nurture the new Team Leaders and welcome support and prayer around this effort.
Our Youth and Family Ministry has had several new individuals sign up and we are excited to see this team grow toward a weekly rotation. Assisting with creating a safe environment for our kids to grow and learn the SOM principles is surely a ministry in and off itself.
We have so many wonderful teams that are supporting different aspect of our organization – look at our Service Ministry Application to see which team you might serve on! This information is also available at our Concierge Table on Sunday Mornings.
I love what Marianne Williamson writes in her great book Return to Love: “No matter what we do, it can become our ministry. We are here to minister to human hearts. If we talk to anyone, see anyone, think about anyone, we can bring more love to the Universe. Any task/job can be a ministry as long as it is dedicated to love”
Peace and Blessings,
Karin Lewis
