The vision of NVC’s Community Outreach is: Expanding Hearts through Love and Service. We apply the art of love in action through financial gifts, hands on service projects, and supply drives to a quarterly partner.
Whatever your passion is, the Outreach Team is here for you. Let us know if you’d like to serve on this amazing team to choose upcoming partners, or lead a quarterley outreach team.
This Quarter’s Partner is:
Arizona Helping Hands: This organization has been assisting children in foster care for more than 20 years. Helping Hand’s motto is “Bringing hope to children in foster care.”. Their mission is to provide essential needs for children in foster care through their programs. Foster parents sometimes receive children into their homes with just the clothes they are wearing. They can provide basic necessities such as beds, cribs, shoes, diapers and clothes. They also help children succeed in school by providing backpacks and school supplies. Helping Hands also provides foster children with “Birthday Dreams”, personalized birthday gifts such as toys, games, puzzles, and books. The foster parents are also provided with the supplies to bake a cake and celebrate their foster child’s birthday.
You can participate in one of two ways:
- Help us collect the following items by bringing them to NVC on Sundays:
*New shoes of any size, preferably closed toe for winter.
*Books: They need books for grades 5 through 12, although any will be appreciated.
*Diapers: They will be happy to accept all diaper sizes , but are most in need of sizes 4, 5, and 6 as some of the children are not potty trained . - Let our Outreach Angels do the shopping for you with your donations. You can do that either through our Concierge on Sundays or filling out the below form.
