You might know Jolene Baney (Jo) as a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner; you might know her as a Leadership Council member three times over. You may have “partied down” at one of the many Gourmet 4 God events that she and her hubby Rick have hosted over the years. Or you might have decorated for Christmas, organized fun events, or even participated at the NVC Holiday Bazaar that she organized. Do you have a kiddos in Youth Church? She’s probably been their teacher. Maybe you’ve taken a class she’s taught… or you may even be going to Bali with her!
In her almost 30 years with New Vision Center, Jo has demonstrated her love for this community in so many ways. As she says, “This place is my second home and all of you are my family!”
But wait, there’s more… here’s something you don’t know! Jo is donning yet another hat, and we’re thrilled to announce that she has accepted the position as Administrative Assistant at NVC. In her role, Jo will be in the office part-time, Monday – Thursday 10:00 – 2:00(ish) and will be the “connector” for such issues as scheduling time with the ministers, maintaining order with our databases, keeping the office humming and generally making sure everyone in the community (including YOU!) feels loved and supported.
Jo brings 25 years in healthcare analytics in her previous corporate career and for the past 12 years, has provided family recovery coaching and treatment placement for those seeking a healing path for substance abuse. She continues to provide these services as well as leading adventure-seekers on immersion retreats to places like Bali, Tuscany, Spain and Australia, as well as all over Arizona. She has an insatiable love for travel, and when she’s home (and that’s A LOT these days), she loves to “futz” in the garden, cook, play with Sid the cat and Max the dog and most importantly, keep Mr. Baney in line.
If you’re out and about and have a couple of minutes, stop by the office and have a cuppa Joe with Jo!
Welcome Jplene!!! So glad you are here. Looking forward to working with you.
Sorry, That’s Jolene !!!
Thanks Toni… looking forward to the fun ahead!
Congrats Jo, you are perfect for this position. Miss seeing you.
