 lebrated English Christian mystic whose Revelations of Divine Love (or Sh
 owings) is considered one of the most remarkable documents of medieval rel
 igious experience.  She spent the latter part of her life as spiritual co
 unselor in a cell adjourning St. Julian’s Church (for which she is named
 ) in Norwich. She is thought to have been the first woman to write a book 
 in English which has survived.
