In My Opinion

By Karin Lewis

On Tuesday night, Gina Zamora, Jolene Baney and I sat down and read all of the “In my opinion” cards from Sunday’s awesome meeting!

This process took an hour and a half and it was very powerful to hear the unfiltered, mostly anonymous voice of Sunday’s participants!

Here are some highlights:

  • The majority of what was written on the cards is already reflected in our powerful Vision Statement (awesome how that works).
  • Lots of ideas about the “best” timeline; everything from ‘This is way too slow’ and ‘It takes too long!’ to ‘Please don’t rush, allow the process to unfold.’
  • There were many requests for transparency of the entire process and lots of communication – again also reflected in our Vision Statement. We are off to a great start with announcements from the pulpit this Sunday as well as a feature in the newsletter.
  • A few great practical ideas that we will forward to Nancy Harkins, Search Team Leader.
  • There were several cards that we felt were “Requests for healing”; these cards will be provided to our Practitioner Core to be treated as prayer requests. The topics were mostly around ideas of abandonment, that something needs fixing, that something was wrong in the past etc. Please join us in knowing that our community is a place where we hear all voices, the ones of folks who have a similar experience as we do, as well as the ones that have a different experience. Remember the white box of projection from last Sunday’s talk? It feels very good and powerful to listen with love to all of it and to hold it in Light.

Thank you again for your participation in this exciting time in the life of New Vision!

Do you have more to say about this? Did you think of anything else that you wanted to tell us that you forgot to write down on Sunday? Here’s another opportunity.
