Outreach Ministry

Expanding Hearts through Love and Service – this is the vision of the Outreach Team. Partnering with local organizations, we apply the art of love in action through financial gifts, hands on service projects and supply drives. Whatever your passion, the Outreach Team could use your help! Opportunities are available to serve as part of the Outreach Team as well to participate in community Outreach events.

In April, Outreach is offering an exciting opportunity for everyone at NVC with our 2nd Quarter Partner, AZ Special Olympics!

This organization was especially meaningful to Molly Benkiel, who strongly encouraged NVC’s involvement last year. We are honored to continue our support by volunteering at the AZ Special Olympics State Games – yes, State Games this year! – on Friday, April 25th, and Saturday, April 26th at Kellis High School in Glendale.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference!  We need 10 volunteers per shift.   There are morning and afternoon shifts available on both Friday and Saturday for everyone at NVC – of all mobility levels and ages.

  • Children 14 and up can sign up independently.
  • Children under 14 must volunteer alongside an adult.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by their own parent.

If you want to be part of this fantastic service opportunity Sign Up on the Sundays ahead during Munch-n-Mingle or email the Outreach Team at Outreach@newvisioncsl.org to reserve your spot.

For any questions, reach out to Project Lead, Tom Finn, any member of the Outreach Team or email your questions to the above email.  Join NVC Outreach and Expand your Heart through Love and Service!!!

NVC Outreach is launching the second year of our work with specific chosen charity partners.  We are delighted to kick-off the year with a fundraiser for Raising Hope Dogs. Raising Hope Dogs empowers the possible by training dogs to work with kids and teens with autism and other disabilities. When partnered with standard therapies, the use of trained dogs has been proven to  accelerates progress dramatically,   This then advances the health and well-being of the child and their families.   This quarter NVC is raising funds to help with the costs to train Honey to be the service dog for 7 Year old Avery.  Avery is on the Autism spectrum and has cerebral palsy.  Honey is being trained to directly help with challenges Avery faces every day.   We are accepting donations for this beloved Outreach Partner through the end of March and beyond, please scan the QR below or click here:
