As I reported from the podium last Sunday, our leadership council recognizes that some of the language in our current by-laws limit our ability to attract a wide pool of applicants. Therefore, the Leadership Council held a special meeting on Sunday afternoon after service and came to a consensus to make changes, some that reach beyond the issues regarding the minister. A by-laws committee was formed and will be meeting to develop the proposed changes.
The updates will be presented to the Leadership Council for approval during another special meeting in January. Based on their approval the changes will then be presented to the community on Sunday, January 20th during aTownhall Meeting. On Sunday January 27th Leadership will be present during Munch and Mingle to answer questions about the changes. On Sunday, February 3rd we will have a Special Membership Meeting for a vote the changes.
