Thanksgiving Re-Imagined

What is the true spirit of Thanksgiving?  The food, yes. Family, for sure.  Football, for some.  But behind all of the fixin’s is the true energy that we feel, connecting at a heart level with the ones we love, nourishing not just our bodies, but our souls. Remembering how much we have to be grateful for.

And so, this Thanksgiving, we embrace the true spirit of Thanksgiving and would like to invite you to join us in a few COVID-friendly activities for you to enjoy:

The NVC Thanks-living Tree

“Count your Blissings”

We’re creating a tree to adorn our campus and our Thanksgiving Eve service, and we’d love your contributions.  If you’re a Sunday Morning in-person attendee, we’ll have a table on the breezeway with fall leaves for you to write your word of gratitude. If you’re an on-line devotee, just send us your word of gratitude and we’ll create a leaf for you.  Just email your word to info@newvisionaz.org before Thanksgiving Eve.  Or finally, you can stop by during the week and create your gratitude message. Let’s cover our Thanks-living Tree with your Blissings!

Thanksgiving Eve Service Surprise!

What’s the surprise… let’s just say it’s sweet, and you’ll just have to come to find out!  Thanksgiving Eve Service is Wednesday, November 25th at 6:30 pm.

Thanksgiving “Gobble-Gobble Zoom Thanksgiving Afternoon! (yes, that rhymes…)

Need a little laughter and connection on your Thanksgiving Day?  Join us for a bit of fun from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day.  We’ll have social time, trivia and sharing your most special or hilarious Thanksgiving stories.  Just log into the NVC Main Zoom Room:

Zoom ID: 602 787 8888
Password: 888888.

Find a Friend for Feasting and Fun on Facebook! (say that five times!)

If you’re looking to connect with your NVC friends, we’re thinking there are others who have the same idea.  Come to the New Vision Facebook page and start a conversation.  Perhaps there’s someone who would love to cook a turkey and invite friends to join them (socially distanced of course).  Or just want someone to watch the game with.  Or is up for a hike or hanging out in the park.  Facebook is the perfect place to make those connections. And while these gatherings are not New Vision Center sponsored events, we can help you find those connections.
