Never Far From Home

I’m waking up this morning in Bali feeling sweetly grateful… not because I had the privilege of spending the day steeped in the beauty and love of my gorgeous NVC family this Sunday, but even more profoundly, because I’ve had a lifetime of accumulated joy, celebration, connection, inspiration, insight, wonder, healing, abundance… the magnificence that has been gifted to me by choosing to step into my NVC community for so many seasons of my life.

And so it shows up, strongly present, halfway around the world in Bali. It shows up in the connections we make with people from other cultures, other religions, celebrating and honoring their unique spark of the Divine. Seeking understanding, feeling the wonder of diversity and feeling profoundly grateful for life.

Never has it EVER been more clear that we are all One. I owe it to this teaching, the beautiful NVC Love that is part of me even in the middle of a rice paddy, in fact, especially then. A rooster crows and I hear God. The morning light hits a tropical flower just so, and I see divine creation. I dig my toes into a lush carpet of grass and feel supported, grounded, connected. My morning meditation is filled with the grace of being alive on a planet where “things” don’t always make sense.  And they don’t have to.  I can let go of that tight control that I think keeps me safe; let go of my “i” way of thinking in order to allow the I AM Spirit to unfold for my highest good. Trusting that good finds me in the most unexpected ways. And so this morning I practice Loving Kindness… may we be happy, may we be healthy, may we be peaceful, may we know Love. For myself, for my beloveds, for my friends, for people I find difficulty loving, for this planet.

I surrender to a greater reality, the greater I AM, and trust in an eternal and unlimited Law that makes all thing possible. Balancing the ying and yang of life, I deepen into the Love that makes it all worthwhile. Love and Law, a beautiful dance.

Selamat Pagi from Bali and blessings to my beautiful NVC family!
