Community Outreach Mission & Purpose

“Expanding Hearts through Love and Service"

The Outreach Team partners with local organizations to spread kindness through donations, hands-on projects, and supply drives. Whether you’re passionate about giving, serving, or making a difference, there’s a place for you. Join the team or jump into a community event—we’d love to have you!”

3RD QUARTER OUTREACH

Supporting Our Veterans This Summer

This summer, our Outreach Team is turning its focus to a group that holds a special place in our hearts: our Veterans. When we learned that nearly 1,000 homeless Veterans live in the Phoenix area—and that number is rising—we knew we had to act. It's heartbreaking to imagine anyone living on the streets during an Arizona summer.  That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with Keys to Change, a collaborative network of 15 organizations working together to provide real solutions to end homelessness.

Here’s how you can help:

Instead of donating bottled water, we are inviting you to support the Keys to Change “Thirst Aid” campaign by donating funds directly. Simply scan the QR code (or click on it) and select option #2 DONATE FUNDS. Any amount you feel moved to give can make a big difference.

We're also collecting essential items to help our unhoused neighbors survive the scorching summer heat. You’ll find a large donation box in the church lobby. We’re collecting:

  • ChapStick
  • Sunscreen
  • Sun hats & baseball caps
  • Sunglasses
  • Doggy water bowls & booties

Please bring these items with you to church on Sunday and place them in the box. Our team will make sure they are distributed to those who need them most.   Download a handy printable list.

At NVC, we believe love in action changes lives. Let’s expand our hearts in service and make someone’s life a little easier this summer.  Together, we are revealing the power of love—one act of kindness at a time.

NVC Volunteers Shine at the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics Arizona State Games!

New Vision Center proudly showed up to support the 50th Anniversary of the Special Olympics Arizona State Games—and what a joyful, inspiring experience it was! Our dedicated volunteers prepared meals, guided athletes to awards, helped present medals, and cheered every brave effort. The Special Olympics motto—“Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”—was beautifully embodied by every athlete. Thank you to all our NVC volunteers who made a difference and left uplifted by the courage and joy they witnessed!
