This week we will be exploring the life of Hildegard von Bingen, as a reminder of how boldly a single person can expand the world’s sense of possibility. Rising from a secluded childhood in 12th‑century Germany, she became a visionary abbess, composer, healer, and writer whose courage allowed her to speak with a voice far ahead of her time. Her belief in viriditas—the living, greening energy that animates all creation—invites us to see our own lives as fertile ground for growth, creativity, and purpose. Walking in her footsteps encourages us to trust our inner visions, to nurture our gifts, and to let our own light widen the horizon for others.
