The New Vision Center Congregant Care team is ready to provide short term support during times of illness, loss or transition. We are here to hold your hand, lift you up in prayer and love you through challenging times.
I became aware of NVC’s Congregant Care Team in 2012 shortly after I began attending services on a regular basis. Back then it was called Pastoral Care with services provided by the Practitioner Team. In 2014, the word went out that NVC members were invited to serve on this team. This service team seemed a good fit for me. I received an orientation to the mission and services and have served on this team since then.
Over the years, I have received congregant care services as well as providing them. After a fall resulted in a broken right arm, I was unable to drive to rehab and my doctor appointments. How good it was to receive rides to and from these appointments by a member of the congregant care team! Meals were also graciously offered to ease my time of recovery. Congregant care services come with an offer of prayer support. Wholeness and health were at the top of my request for prayer. I was in good physical and spiritual hands,
