Dear Beloveds,
This coming Sunday we continue our theme on Love, where we will be talking about the turbulence of love. Turbulence can often “clip our wings of love,” diminishing our light, veering us off-course, leaving us dazed, confused, vulnerable and alone.
When we are caught in the chaotic swirl, we struggle to regain our inner Peace and Harmony. For me, calming my inner turbulence is part of my daily practice. To quiet these unsettling disruptions, I turn to mindfulness practices, loving compassion for myself and others, and Trust, reminding myself that we live in a benevolent world, regardless of external circumstances.
This year I launched a new Ministry called Healing Through the Arts, smack in the middle of navigating my own turbulence! Healing Through the Arts is one of our Midweek Spiritual Connections, and our vision is living our beautiful lives (even when we’re thrown off course!) We walk this out by embracing change, healing and reawakening Wholeness, through Beauty, the Arts and building community. Participants and I have come together in a safe and loving class to quiet our inner critics, discover resilience, attempt new skills and build empowering friendships.
If turbulence has churned up fear, doubt and/or dis-harmony in your life, come learn how these are just messages to practice compassion, to see life differently and with fresh eyes. See you Sunday!
In kindness,
Rev. Lori
