Dear Beloveds,
When I think of stewardship, I tend to think of caring for, supporting and funding the things that matter to my life. And I'll admit, when I look out into the world and see so much that needs care, I can feel really overwhelmed. Who am I to fix the problems of the planet? How can I possibly live up to the high vision of "A World that Works for Everyone"? I'm just one person. And yet, that's what we're called here to create. So, how can we look at it differently, so we feel engaged rather than overwhelmed?
For me, it's a matter of realizing that I'm NOT just one person. I'm one person in a movement of people who seek to make this world a livable place for everyone. Together, we multiply many small donations into one big fund. Together, we pool our small tasks into one big project that cares for people. Together, we are changing the world in essential ways. This week, we'll finish Stewardship Month by exploring how we can make a global impact and really create "A World that Works for Everyone." I hope you will join us.
Much love,
Rev. Lezli
