Beloved Community,
This month we are veering away from the Centers for Spiritual Living monthly theme and instead exploring what we have learned, where we have grown, and how this year has stretched us as we rose higher and grew deeper.
For myself, what has served me most is the practice of subtraction, our guiding theme these past couple of weeks inspired by Meister Eckhart’s wisdom. As many of you know, he is a prominent medieval theologian philosopher, born in Germany around 1260 during a time of great tension and he was eventually accused of heresy. Meister Eckhart also reminds us, “The soul is illuminated not by the light outside, but by the light that is within. The Light within is what guides, comforts, and inspires us. It is ever-present, quietly waiting to illuminate our thoughts, words, and actions.”
This Sunday, we gather to be loyal to that Light—to honor it, to trust it, and to let it shine through us as individuals and as a community.
Join us in this sacred time of reflection and renewal. Together, we will celebrate the inner radiance that has carried us through this year and continues to call us forward.
With love and light,
Rev. Karin
